Selwyn Skevin
Mr. Skevin approaches his clients with compassion and guidance, while zealously representing their best interests inside and outside of the courtroom. He practices law in a variety of areas within general civil litigation including business law, foreclosure defense, landlord-tenant law, condominium law, collections, and general tort law. He also has a special focus on all aspects of family law including divorce, parentage matters, maintenance and child support, orders of protection, and a variety of post-decree matters.
Mr. Skevin is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Prior to earning his Juris Doctor at the John Marshall Law School (now University of Illinois Chicago School of Law), Selwyn earned his Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (with an emphasis on business) from Arizona State University. After college, he worked as a mortgage advisor in Arizona and Illinois, most notably with Morgan Stanley. Selwyn’s business acumen and negotiation skills help ensure that every case is thoroughly investigated, resulting in a fair and equitable outcome for his clients.
